There was nothing left to say,
We listened to “The Dimming of the Day” until the darkness fell.

She said, “Love’s unkind”.
I said, “The things you look for are the things you find.”

And she just laughed then.
And I laughed too.
She said, “I hate you”.
And I said, “Same to you”.

Then she walked out in the rain.
